What Makes The Kinetico Water Softener So Special?

The Kinetico water softener is one of the many potential choices when you're looking into a water softening system.

The hazards of hard water are many, including the potential for ruining clothing fabrics, leaving build up on floors washed with it, and crusting your pipes with a layer of scale that can interfere with your water's ability to move through the pipes.

Using a Kinetico water softener can help improve the water quality which can help improve the cleanliness of your body and hair and feel better against your skin while showering. Your whole family will benefit from softening the water.

One of the more unique features of the Kinetico water softener is the triple tank design. This helps eliminate various mineral deposits that plague hard water and creates a more effective design than many of the double tank systems. The water enters the first tank, where the sulfates, magnesium, and calcium are removed. If there are additional minerals in your water causing the hard stains you find in the tub, they will also be removed here.

The second tank is where the brining happens. This involves the use of salt, which reacts with the water to create a softer blend. The salt doesn't create a salt water concoction like the ocean, but it adds this necessary mineral to alleviate that hard water problem.

By using salt, you can be assured that the condition of the water will change. Some units use ionization, which is often more expensive and less accurate but it can be a benefit for some families.

The final tank is where the water is then cycled through to ensure the softness level is achieved and then filtered into the home. By using the third tank there is a greater softening accuracy. By accuracy, we mean that the softness levels that you are hoping to achieve are much more likely. Double tank systems often soften water, but some people with particularly hard water find that they don't soften the water enough, leaving them with many of the same problems just to a lesser degree.

In the third tank any remaining minerals are removed and the water comes through the pipes soft and ready for everyday use. The water is pushed through one tank to the next through turbines that are installed internally. You do have to monitor your water use as it is possible to dry up the third tank before the first and second tanks have had a chance to really finish their cycle.

The Kinetico water softener is used throughout the world and has been proven to be effective at removing the minerals that harden water in many different environments.

Since the turbine system is internal and doesn't require an additional source for energy, many find that this water softening system is energy efficient and timely. It is also known to be highly effective and alleviates the problems of staining, water tarnished fabrics, and cooking and showering problems that are common with areas where hard water is common.
